This tribute concert remembers the late Jon Audain, Director of Music, with performances by three ensembles with which he was closely involved: the Warsash Band, the Band of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, and the Solent Singers.

We're particularly excited that the legendary composer, Philip Sparke, has written a vibrant new piece of music for us, dedicated to Jon! It's called On Warsash Shore, and it beautifully captures the spirit of the sea and water that Jon loved for being so central to Warsash's identity. The Warsash Band will be performing the world premiere of this piece at the concert.

We hope you'll join us for a unique evening celebrating Jon's inspirational contributions to music making in Hampshire.

You can buy tickets for the Joint Concert, and see full details, here.

We're recruiting!

We're currently recruiting for an Assistant Director of Music (ADoM). Primary duties are:

  • Assisting the Director of Music in the musical management of the band, including concert programming and selecting new music.
  • Deputising to lead rehearsals when required.

There is a small honorarium payment associated with the role. If you or anyone you know has conducting experience and would like to help and become part of a thriving wind band, please get in touch. Please provide a brief overview of your conducting experience and why you would like to be considered for the role.
